dating

Finding a woman, attracting a woman and keeping a woman can be a full time job. There are a lot of things to keep in mind when wooing a member of the opposite sex. Women are complex members of society that should have come with detailed manuals so the men in their life could understand them.

Knowing what a woman wants is understandably difficult. Every woman is different and her wants vary just as much. If one girl liked flowers another prefers books. If one enjoyed walks on the beach another likes to stay in. How is a man supposed to survive in the cut throat world of dating?

When it comes to women one thing is universal. They want to be treated well, with respect by men who have not forgotten what their mothers taught them. Women want to know that Chivalry, though sadly outdated, is not dead. Behaving like a gentleman will put you further ahead than the next guy who thinks belching after a meal is a sign of respect.

The men that open the door for women stand out in the crowd. It is simple manners albeit old fashioned and most women love it. Pay attention to a woman when she talks. Make eye contact and engage in thoughtful conversation about the things she has mentioned. It is romantic to know that someone cares about what you have to say.

Flattery may get you somewhere if used properly. Using thoughtful words of praise in the right context will score you extra points. Women want to know that the time they spent getting ready for a date was worth it but often time’s men will think complimentary thoughts in their heads and never speak them aloud. Tell her that her eyes are gorgeous or mention the necklace she is wearing. If you make a woman feel like she is special she will not forget it.

Just because we are in an age of technology where a complete conversation can be had with a few clever texts and emoticons does not mean that chivalry is dead. Behave like a gentleman. Your mother will be so proud.
